Notes from a Love Letter Writer

This month we’re writing love letters to baristas, to let them know how appreciated they are. Well, I’m married to one, so while I was traveling on a recent business trip, I left him his very own love letter.

To my favorite barista,

I know how much you like your job. I know you love your co-workers, and there are people you’ve formed relationships with because they’re such good customers. I know how hard you work and I know how that can sometimes be exhausting.

I know, because I see it every day – being by your side, and listening to your stories.

But what I hope you know is how loved you are at your job. By co-workers, by customers – even by the little kids who smile at you when they come in with their parents.

You make people’s day brighter, just by smiling and being yourself, so on behalf of your customers I just wanted to say thank you.

They all love you – as do I.
