SO WHAT IS A LOVE LETTER BUNDLE?
Each month, we send out a “call for love letters” (just like this one) for some unsuspecting receivers in need of a little handwritten goodness. You have TWO WEEKS to send over a letter to the More Love Letters PO Box. We bundle the letters and mail them all together to a lucky, lucky mailbox with an explanation note from MoreLoveLetters.com on top.
It’s simple. It takes 5 minutes. And really, what could be better? So gather your friends, your students, your coworkers or church group, and take on the monthly mission together!
The following letter requests were requested by close friends + family of the recipients:
Meet Susan
This love letter request is one that touched all of our hearts and we think it will touch you too. Susan’s husband writes, “Susan and I were married the week before I left for Afghanistan and for the both of us, being apart from your best friend for months at a time is lonely, difficult and emotional. Though many military families experience the same feelings during their time apart, I’d love Susan to know that perfect strangers from all over support and wish the best for her, just as I do each and every day from afar.” Sign us up to be those strangers!
Meet Jonathan
Jonathan’s sister scripted this love letter request for him, writing, “My brother has been having a hard time lately with feeling secure about who he is and his place in this world. I think when you give and give of yourself and your love so much and never receive any love, affirmation, and support in return it can be very discouraging; and that is exactly what my brother does.” Jonathan is a letter writer at heart but his sister thought it was time he received some letters of his own. “I think so many times we associate insecurity only with females, but my brother is insecure as well. You can’t control the race or the genetic traits you were born with and it saddens me that the very things about himself that he can’t control are the things that he is most insecure about.” Let’s pick up Jonathan’s spirits this season with a bundle of love letters.
MLL “Sealed with Love” Community Drive
Script Support for Our Troops
This February, we wanted to make sure not to get all swept up in romantic love letters. Instead, it’s time to step back and express gratitude to those who deserve it. For this reason, among many more, we’ll be sending a massive bundle of love letters to one of our favorites organizations that mails regularly to the U.S. military. Help us send some sweet, sweet love to the soldiers and join in mailing two, three or even a dozen love letters for this community love letter drive! Let’s remind some of the heroes of this world that we’re sealing them with love all year long—in spirit & in letters!
Please note: The following love letters are not Valentines. While they should be packed with love, they will not arrive on time for Valentine’s Day.
Please mail all love letters to:
Sealed with Love Bundles
PO Box 2061
North Haven, CT 06473
Letters can sent all in one envelope or individually, whichever you prefer. And yes, we take letters from all over the world!
Please postmark all love letters by FEBRUARY 15, 2013. Please & Thanks.

Your Secret + Sealed with Love Admirers,
MLL & the USPS

So you accept post from all over the world, but is there an international–not just USPS–stamp available?
Love the idea xx
You can use any kind of postage!
I saw Anna, I believe that’s her name (names are not my strong point…*sorry*) on the Jeff Probst show and fell in love with her. She’s giving so much, how precious she is. I’m an old lady (70), but I am going to get involved with this wonderful idea. So many people out there in need of hearing encouraging words, and how this young lady came up with the idea can only be described as God led. God bless her and all the folks she has helping her.
So do we address the letter to the specific bundle recipient or do they just get letters at random from the pile?
I am wondering who to address it to as well. We mail them to you but they are addressed to the individuals, yes? Or are they generic to both Jonathan and Susan and you just randomly pick from those sent in to disperse between the two of them?
I’d love to help so please let me know!
Yes. Address your letters to the specific bundles for which they are intended. This way you will be able to write letters specifically for each unique case. Great question. Thanks for asking it. I am sure others out there were wondering just the same thing. Check out the STARTER KIT under GET INVOLVED. I found the information to be very helpful. May you have a lovely day.
Am very touched by more love letters. Com. Can’t wait to help put a smile on a strangers face:)
Welcome aboard! And put a smile on a stranger’s face you shall.
Speaking of helping strangers, here is a story that I have recently come across. I found it to be quite touching and the message reminded me very much of the MLL cause. Enjoy and may the story inspire you as you embark on your MLL mission!
THE STARFISH STORY
“While walking along a beach, an elderly gentleman saw someone in the distance leaning down, picking something up and throwing it into the ocean.
As he got closer, he noticed that the figure was that of a young man, picking up starfish one by one and tossing each one gently back into the water.
He came closer still and called out, “Good morning! May I ask what it is that you are doing?”
The young man paused, looked up, and replied “Throwing starfish into the ocean.”
The old man smiled, and said, “I must ask, then, why are you throwing starfish into the ocean?”
To this, the young man replied, “The sun is up and the tide is going out. If I don’t throw them in, they’ll die.”
Upon hearing this, the elderly observer commented, “But, young man, do you not realise that there are miles and miles of beach and there are starfish all along every mile? You can’t possibly make a difference!”
The young man listened politely. Then he bent down, picked up another starfish, threw it into the back into the ocean past the breaking waves and said, “It made a difference for that one.”
Author unknown, I believe.
HUGS&LOVE
Comment. The star fish story was very touching. And honestly if u make one smile at a time, they are probably gonna be the ones that remember and are touched by it the most:)
Hi. I am from Philippines, but I would definitely want to join your team, I am one of those people who want to make a change but doesnt know how to. I saw Hanna on the Jeff Probst show. I was inspired to visit this site and find out how to be a part of the team. Could I? How? Im hoping for your reply.
Hugs to you, Lucy. I was first inspired by the founder of MLL when I saw her TED talk. I was so moved and motivated by the speaker and her mission. MLL seems to be inspiring kindred spirits, such as us, from all over the world. I first joined the cause by writing 50 love letters and leaving them around my town. My husband served as my giddy chauffeur. It was such a magical experience. We gave one to a policeman. He later found us, nearly in tears, to share his story of how touched he was by the letter. This is a great cause for someone such as yourself. You may write random letters on your own, as I first did, or with friends and leave them about your environment. It’s a lot of fun. You may write and give MLL inspired letters to random strangers and non-strangers alike. If you click on GET INVOLVED you will be able to join the LOVE LETTER ALERT LIST. Letter requests for specific individuals will be sent to your inbox. You may tackle these solo or with friends. You could also host a love letter party with peers. You all could sponsor a letter bundle or write MLL love letters to those you know. Check out the STARTER KIT under GET INVOLVED. Currently, I don’t think letter requests are accepted from countries outside the US. Not to worry, this does not stop you from joining the MLL team! Feel free to hit up CONTACT US at the bottom of the page for specific inquiries. I look forward to your participation in this wonderful cause. May we bring more love to the world, one letter at a time. HUGS&LOVE
On the letters themselves, do we address the letters to the two individuals above, or just leave it like a “Dear Friend…?”
I have seen letters addressed both ways. You may choose how you would like to address the individual. You may feel more comfortable addressing the individual by name or you may prefer the, “Dear Friend,” option. Thank you for your excellent question and for joining the MLL cause. Have fun spreading the love! <3
