September 17, University of Denver

“Today I found a lovely little note outside the main academic building at the University of Denver. I was on the way to yet another meeting and saw an envelope saying “If you can see me, I’m yours.” As I read the little card, my day was instantly made! I can’t wait to pass it on :)

September 4, Lancaster, PA

“I found this letter in the coffee shop on my college campus today (in Lancaster PA). The day had not at all gone as planned. Today my mother was supposed to find out if she has cancer, and after my last class I was looking for a mentor of mine to talk to about it. And, of course, she was not on campus. Knowing I had time to kill before work, but not enough to find someone else to talk to, I walked over to the coffee shop to relax for a bit. As I sat my bag down, I found this letter on one of the chairs. It took all I had not to cry when I read it. I was such an act of beauty in such a difficult time for me. I truly think that I was met to find this letter. “

September 3, UNT Denton, TX Campus

“I found this lovely letter in a bathroom at the UNT Denton, TX campus. It was dated a few days ago, so I can only hope other people have seen it and left if for someone else to enjoy. I brought it home for the website on it, but I will probably leave this very same letter somewhere for others to enjoy. I also want to join the movement. And thank you, thank you, thank you. This is wonderful and makes me even more grateful for humankind. <3″

“Hi. My name is Ben Johnson and the letter I found was exactly what I needed cause I was having a hard time, so here it goes: After waking up late I left my dorm to go get lunch. When I walked out I saw a bright green piece of paper that was taped shut. I picked it up and looked around to see if anyone had dropped it. I saw no one around, I opened it and read the following:
 kkk
“Hey you, Breaking the right set of rules which don’t work for you can set you free to do something you truly love and are passionate about. Sometimes it can be hard to get started on the path you really want to be on, but I BELIEVE IN YOU! Only you can know what you need to be happy, and above all else, you deserve to be happy.
 jjjj
Forever yours,
Me”

This letter is exactly what I needed to get through, and it is sitting on my desk. Whenever I need a pick-me-up, I read it and smile.
Thank you so much!”

Finder of the Letter: Tyler

“I came out to my parents about a month ago. My mother decided the best thing to do was to tell me I was giving up on my life and throwing the towel in. Needless to say, they didn’t really support my decision to come out. It took me 24 years to finally be ok with who I am. I knew they wouldn’t celebrate with me, but a little support would have been nice.

The next day I went into Starbucks and got some Iced VIA Coffee…when I picked up the package I found a love letter. Inside it said, “Keep your chin up. You got that? Good!”

Sometimes all you need is to know someone loves you. Thanks. I needed this.”

Writer of the Letter: Danielle

“I found out that Tyler found my letter when Hannah sent me an email with the testimony and a photo, where I saw the trademark mustache I leave on all my letter drops. When I read his actual testimony, I was so moved and honored that I was someone who helped him get through such a tough time- and I tweeted at him to let him know! Yet another reason why I love this organization so much- it connects people in the most intimate of ways, even if it is someone you’ll never meet.”

“Yesterday I was at Deakin University Open Day when I saw a little folded piece of paper casually sitting in between two wood slats on a table. I didn’t realise what it was at first, but then I saw a small snippet of writing on it.

So as I walked past, I picked it up and opened it. Reading and walking at the same time, I read it aloud to my mum who was with me.

It was one of the sweetest things I’ve ever read and was exactly what I needed that day. I had been feeling totally overwhelmed by the amount of people all condensed into the one place who seemed brighter, more motivated and cooler than me. I was getting the doubtful thoughts that creep up on you, “Do you really know what you’re doing?”, “Are you sure you’ll be able to even get into any university, let alone this one?”, “Even if you did get in, you’d probably end up failing your course anyway.”
 jj
But this wonderful letter really cleared my head, helped me just get on with it and feel a lot more optimistic about my future studies!
 jj
Thank you so very much, anonymous sweetheart!”

July 23, Melbourne, Australia

Leaving the office late on a cold winter night in Melbourne, I arrived at my bike to find a gorgeous letter stuck to the seat.
It warmed my heart and made my day, thank you to whoever took the time to write it!
I wish I had taken a photo of it now – in any case I hope it made the next person as happy as it made me, I passed it on to the bike next to mine :)
Thank you!

Hi! My name is Ceci and I have been really down lately and I was casually walking through the park with my dog when I look into a doggie bad holder and found a letter from moreloveletters.com. I want to say thank you for lifting me up and making me smile! The letter is hanging on my mirror so I can see/read it every time I look at my mirror.

June 29, Chicago, Il.

I found a love letter about a week ago in a women’s bathroom at my college campus in Chicago, Illinois. I read it and put it back for another person to find. It made me smile and want to join this wonderful movement.

Thanks for this,
Christina

June 14, New York, NY

I found this love letter on on the Q train in New York City while I was headed to work.  I am a struggling law student and recently found out that my Mother has metastatic melanoma, so my family and I have been going through a difficult time.  This love letter definitely brightened my morning and gave me the push to keep fighting.  Thank you to whoever wrote it.

May 21, Central Oregon Community College

Last week the guy I’ve been engaged to for five years said he wanted to break up with me out of nowhere. We haven’t been fighting but he’s a truck driver so I didn’t get to see him much. I didn’t know anything was wrong. Now he just won’t talk to me. I’ve been crying all week just putting on a brave face and going to college like nothing has changed even though cant breath at times. Today I found a love letter in the bathroom that said not to let anyone tell me I’m not good enough and that I’m worth loving. This was definitely needed right now. Thank you so much :)

April 12, Anacortes, Wa.

I found this today in a restroom in the Safeway in Anacortes, Wa. My family and I have been going through a rough time lately and I’ve taken it especially hard. I took a drive south to Anacortes from Bellingham today as a personal day to try and sort things out, and finding this made my day. It completely changed my entire mood more than anyone knows; it was EXACTLY what I needed, as though that person knew I needed to be the one to find it :) . What you guys do is great and I will never forget this act of kindness! Cannot wait to pass it on!

March 9, Bellaire, Florida

I found a letter on a board ride I was doing one afternoon. I was surprised, is there any way to know who left it? Maybe one of your writers? Maybe someone who follows ad likes to spread love?
What ever it may be, I obviously found it for a reason. I just wish to know the creator of such a strong letter.

September 16, Pensacola, FL

Hi, I had to e-mail you because I am so intrigued by your project. Here’s my little story: yesterday I was having literally the worst (bad bad bad!) day. Then, I walked into a bathroom at my university and found one of these letters. It was so nice and helped me so much…to just feel okay about where I’m at. I should have taken a picture but it didn’t feel right wrecking the anonymity of the moment. I left it where I found it so others could enjoy. I am going to write some letters now. I think what you are doing is the best. Since my part of Florida hasn’t been put on the map, I wanted you to know Pensacola, Florida has letters! :)

Keep it up. This is what the world needs!
