Love Letter Your World.

Now, more than ever, people need hope.

And who better than you to show up in your community and deliver those words of goodness and kindness where people least expect them?

Leaving love letters behind for other people to find and experience a bit of magic within their day has always been a massive part of our mission. Maybe you don’t feel ready to write letters to the people on our website, or perhaps you already know that your community, your church, your college, your _______ is where you want to show up.

Don’t wait- you can start today.

How It Works:

WARNING: Those who leave letters behind for others to find have reported serious side effects of joy, happiness, awe, and a dramatically increased appreciation for humanity. Proceed with caution.

  • There’s honestly no wrong way to do this. Pull out your favorite cards (or take this as a green light to go to Target) and line up your go-to pens. Envelopes? Notebook paper? It doesn’t matter what you choose- it’s what’s going on the inside that counts the most.

  • What words do you want to leave behind today? We recommend thinking about the words you need to hear today and writing those down. Chances are, if you’re feeling it- someone else is feeling it. This is the ultimate chance to remind someone to look up, look around, know they matter.

  • A lot of our letter writers will leave a note on the front of the envelope or outside of the letter to encourage someone to pick up":

IF YOU FIND THIS LETTER, IT’S FOR YOU

    TAKE ME, I’M YOURS

    FOR YOU

Make sure you tag some way for people to find you online- use our hashtag #moreloveletters, moreloveletters.com, or @moreloveletters. This will encourage the person who finds your letter to check us out and maybe even connect the letter back to you!

  • Pick some public places to drop your letters. Here are some of our favorite spots to hide notes:

    Coffee shops

    Tucked in restaurant booths

    Library books

Your favorite book at the bookstore

    Park benches

    Church pews

    Empty airport terminals

Get creative + think about the spots in your daily life where you spend the most time… can you leave a letter behind there?

Small But Mighty

Everything you see on our website started small: with one love letter left behind on a subway in New York City. Never belittle the small acts of love— they hold the world together.
