“I was going through a challenging and dark time when Isabella informed me of the nomination and my selection in the love letters feature. Honestly, I was overwhelmed with love when I first read her submission; it was beautiful and demonstrated to me the love that my daughters had for me.

This was just the beginning of a beautiful journey in which 358 strangers would also show me their love and support at a time when I questioned if I was worthy of love and my own self-worth and value in this world.

Many of the letters highlighted my accomplishments, which were difficult to see then, and helped me realize that many people go through similar circumstances and come out of it eventually. This gave me hope to continue moving forward. I realized that my daughters are the most important thing in the world, and I need to relearn how to love myself so I can fully love them and appreciate them for all they are and do for me.

We’ve all been through an incredibly painful journey, but we are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel and it’s brighter than it’s ever been. It brings us all hope for the future and helps keep us on track in our healing journey. The support and love that poured in through these letters will forever remain in my heart and has changed me and my warped perception of myself and the love that I deserve.

I can’t thank the letter writers enough for all that they’ve done. I would read letters daily and night to help me get through each day. I keep all the letters in my nightstand and reread them when I need encouragement. Thank you to everyone who wrote me a letter. I can’t begin to express how life-changing this experience was and how grateful I am for the time and love poured into each letter.”
